Local Sports

There are thousands of local people out there in the Bideford area taking part in different sports.  It would be really great if someone could do a weekly sports roundup blog.

Could you do it?

Maybe someone you know might like to?

I'm not what you would call a sports fan but I like to read about our local teams doing well.

I suggest you take a look at the shooting sections in the local press. During the summer Bideford Rifle Club teams won 2 national championships in 2 divisions as well as many many other wins in competitions.

Bideford rounded off their pre-season programme last night with a win over Taunton Town, thanks to two goals from Billy Hopcroft. Let's hope that bodes well for this season. It starts on Saturday with a home match for Bideford against  Bishop Sutton in the Toolstation Western Premier league. Kick-off is at 3pm.
