A handy place to shop when you need the odd thing or two - but I don't think I could afford to do my weekly shop here. They do have some special deals, but don't be fooled by these! I don't recommend buying their bread though - it may be baked in store but it feels stale before you've sliced it. The majority of the staff are friendly, but do be prepared to queue. They sell some bargain dvd's, but its not very often you think ' oh, I'll just pop down Somerfields and buy a dvd!'.

Id give this store 5* on the amount of products they have on sale but to me a shop is more then about the products they sell and more about the way you feel after being in the store and I find my self reaching boiling point in this shop every time I go.... I don't think I have ever not had to queue, they are so slow at serving. The other day I found myself waiting for the customer in front of me to return to his full basket to be served before I could, only for the assistant to tell me it was there managers basket and they were to frightened to serve me......great management hey!!

ReportWell you don't need to be speedy or friendly to work here!
A couple of the staff were ok, but on the whole the staff looked miserable and were most unhelpful
The store itself is clean and stocks some really good things which are GM free. The gammon joints were on sale for £5.00 which was a real bargain and lots of other things were on offer, so if you are looking for a bargain then this is the place to be!
They also stock magazines and newspapers and sell the usual lottery thing me jigs and cigarettes and alcohol.
Just a shame the staff haven't learned that the art of customer service is actually to be of service!!!
