my sister took me here for lunch last week as a surprise. i was very surprised how good it was inside. Friendly staff quick service and a menu to suit any budget. There special hot chocolate is to die for, and our meal was great! Its bigger than you think from the outside and a warm welcome awaits.

Been trying to remember the name of this place for the last few days but found it now!
On a recent visit only for drinks, I found the decor to be lovely, somewhat dated - but clean! The staff all smiled and the service was great.
Pot of tea and coffee came out in no time and were very nice.
Overall, welcoming professional and a pleasant little place.
A good traditional teashop. They have a good variety of food on offer, from a traditional breakfast menu to a range of main meals and there are plenty of snacks and cakes to choose from. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the service is very good, although you may have to wait for your meal when they are busy. The prices are very reasonable and being in the middle of town helps it to stay busy.
My Mum told me recently that when I was younger the only thing she could get me to eat were toast and honey and Cleverdon's pasties! Since moving back to Bideford I have ventured in Cleverdons quite a few times and I don't think it has changed since the early 80's. Having said that they still do great Meals, Cakes and Drinks. Actually I can feel a visit coming on soon I'm feeling a bit peckish!
Not a bad little cafe - its very quaint. I found it a bit pricey and had to wait a little longer than I'd have hoped but the meal was good. Lots of room, plenty of seating but the interior was a bit dreary. Its family friendly though and we made to feel welcome by the staff.
my mother always take me here for my dinner when we are in town. it has a huge variety of food hot and cold. the staff are friendly and very welcoming. and the prices are very reasonable. on a wet winters day what can be better than people watching and drinking a lovely cup of hot chocolate.
What a refreshing change! I am wheat intolerant and find it really difficult to find food that I can eat when I go out (apart from jacket potatoes, but there are only so many of them that you can eat).Cleverdons offer wheat and gluten free bread and cakes, home made ones aswell!Delicious!
Where shall we go for coffee - well cleverdons of course! lots of lovely cakes and a delicious cup of coffee at a reasonable cost. This place is often quite busy but the wait is well worth it.
The lunch menu is very appetizing and again not going to blow the budget.
the staff always have time for a chat and are very efficient.

ReportThis restaurant has plenty of seating and a very warming atmosphere but a little on the dark side.
The prices of food and variation of what they good is wide and tasty!
The prices are extremely reasonable .
If its a busy day they do tend to struggle with the demand and you will have to wait a while but it is always worth the wait!
