What a great local pub - this is how pubs should be. Warm and welcoming, local ales, dog friendly, blues bands - brilliant. It has it's group of regulars but they make you feel welcome and its a comfortable place to be. They do serve food, but only at certain times, but its a great place to go after you've been for a meal, for a quiet drink and chat or if you want to listen to some great music.
If you want a pleasant pub away from the hustle and bustle of town, then the Joiners is the pub for you.It has the feel of a traditional ale house, with warm and friendly staff and a warm friendly fire.It tends to get busy at the weekends, as they sometimes have live music on.
This is a lovely pub to go to all year round. In the winter the log fire is burning away, making it a really cosy place to be. I've seen several bands play here aswell, which have all been good. There isn't much room to dance, but that doesn't seem to stop people. They serve a good range of real ales which is always a bonus.Everyone is made to feel welcome, even when you do the pub quiz for the first time!!!! its a tough quiz though!
