We love chips!  Did you know there is a website dedicated to the love of our very British delicacy?  It even has Keith 'Cheggers' Chegwin as the face of British Chips - and if Cheggers loves chips then so do we!

The website is called Love Chips! and they are promoting this year's National Chip Week!

Here on Bideford People we want a portion of the action and to celebrate we are asking for your votes in our Chip Shop Poll to find Bideford's most popular portion of chips.

So, vote now, and let's see who comes out tops!

    Dear Lily_Byer - you reminded me of the other type of person who sits in the chip shop.  All skin & bone with greasy hair and acne
    Proving that chips are not the healthy choice

    Dear howardgem - I eat loads of chips and I'm really slim!  Stick that in your butty and eat it!

    Chips = Obesity
    I am really fed up with seeing so many overweight people these days.
    We really seem to be turning into "Little Americans"
    I see people everyday eating some fatty snack in the street and I often feel like going up to them and telling them not to eat it as they are way too fat already!
    These people are a potential drain on society as they will soon be patronising the hospitals with heart disease, asthma and other health related issues due  to being overweight.
    Not only that but these people are now getting mobile on those mobile scooter things so they sit in their mobile machines munching away at unhealthy foods taking up valuable space in shops and on buses.
    They really should be ashamed of themselves and we should definitely NOT be promoting eating chips!
    Fatties get a life!!
