1969: Paul McCartney weds Linda Eastman - Paul McCartney has married Linda Eastman in a civil ceremony in London.
Hundreds of people gathered outside the Marylebone
Register Office to catch a glimpse of the couple as they arrived with
Miss Eastman's six-year-old daughter, Heather, from a previous
marriage.
1993: Bombay hit by devastating bombs - At least 200 people have died and 800 have been injured after 13 bombs exploded in Bombay.

1988 British chess Grandmaster Nigel Short beat Jan Timman, the
Dutch player ranked third in the world, in the Max Euwe memorial
tournament in Amsterdam.
1992 Cricket's World Cup, England beat South Africa by 3 wickets,
with New Zealand beating India by 4 wickets to becaome only the second
team in the tournament's history to win a clear 6 games in a row.
