One of my all time favourite books is The Terrible Underpants by Kaz Cooke.

We've all had days when the only undies we can find are the ones which are less than glamourous. Well this book is about a little girl and her terrible underpants. She has a pet hairy-nosed wombat called Glenda and it is of utmost importance that this book is read out loud in an Australian accent ... think of Neighbours and do your best.
It's hilarious and I can't think of any child who would not enjoy it.
