Walk to School Week next week

As a mother who always walks her child up the narrow lane to school, rain or shine, I am rather disillusioned with the walk to school week.
Most mornings I have to take to the hedge with a young son and a baby in a pushchair as another mother zooms up the hill past me.
They invariably get stuck behind another set of walkers further up the hill and then proceed to slowly crawl up the hill immediately behind the group, slower than my walking pace - which inevitably means we catch the car up and are then breathing in exhaust fumes.
Next week will see these mothers/fathers doing "their bit" by walkiing to school (only if it is dry you understand)
I am so tempted to do the same to them next week and make it the only week that I drive up to the school.
Just think, I could get them to jump into the hedge, narrowly missing their feet.
I could poison them with my exhaust fumes and even follow them so closely from behind that they feel intimidated.
If I thought any of the above actions would do any good, I would really consider doing it, but I know that these people would not even realise that I am only mirroring their behaviors.
So let them walk next week and I will just laugh at how unfit they are and how fat their bottoms are!!!
