WINDSURFER CAUGHT OUT BY STRONG WINDS AT INSTOW

Air sea rescue and Appledore lifeboat were called out to rescue a windsurfer this afternoon.
Onlookers saw the windsurfer being brought back to Instow beach by the lifeboat after being dragged offshore by strong winds.

We were at the beach with my dog at the time. A rescue boat came into the shore. i didn't
know what the sceario was at the time. Was he hurt badly?

ReportWe wondered what the helicopter was for. We were on the beach and saw it come down really close to the water.
