It only seems like one school holiday has finished when another one starts.  Well, the Easter break is nearly upon us and Torridge District Council have plans to keep us busy.

Torridge Easter Holiday Events Programme for 3 to 16 year olds:

April 6 - 16th 2010

This Easter why don’t you switch off the telly, put down that games console and try one of the fantastic activities we have on offer? Whether you’re into singing and dancing, archery or swimming, cookery or mountain boarding, clay or paint, it’s all here for you to try. There are courses in Bideford, Torrington, Holsworthy, Littleham, Appledore, Roadford Lake and now Woolsery as well.

New activities for this year include athletics, belly dance and fitness fun, kids boot camp, mountain boarding, performance arts workshops, tag rugby and tennis camp. All these in addition to the regular indoor athletics, badminton, Tiny Tots football, netball, trampolining, sailing on Roadford Lake and other activities such as cycle training and Forest school. Street dancing, film animation, fencing, tennis and indoor climbing are all available in Torrington and swimming activities will be held in both Torrington and Holsworthy pools.

Holsworthy leisure centre is now registered with Ofsted under the Voluntary Childcare Register. Families who are eligible for the Childcare element of the Working Families Tax Credit may now be able to claim up to 80% of the cost of the course back.

For more information and to see whether you are eligible please contact The Working Families Tax Credit helpline on 0845 300 3900 or visit www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/taxcredits

We want everyone to have a chance at taking part in culture, sport and leisure activities. There are courses for 3 year olds to 16 year olds. No matter your location, ability or interests there will be something for you to enjoy.”
