Instow School's film club has produced a star critic.
Year 5 pupil Dorothy McCormack who has been attending the after school film club since its inception last year has won 'Review of the Week' from the national organisation.
Dorothy, aged 9, regularly writes reviews on the Filmclub website after watching films at the club. Each week Filmclub chooses the best reviews and awards the star critics a superb bundle of Filmclub goodies.
Filmclub is a free service available to all schools in England. As well as supplying the DVDs the club provides posters, membership cards and a wonderful website where children can find out more about the world of film.
Dorothy says "I really like Filmclub because it allows me to do reviews and have a say about what I think of the film and I like chatting at the end about the film. I really like the prize and I'm going to write lots more reviews for the website".
"I am really excited about watching the DVD I won, The Cat Returns, because its from my favourite studio where they make Japanese films. We have watched quite a few and I really like them."
