Help needed for a coastal community artwork project

Hi everybody - I am a mature art student from North Devon school of art ,i live in the Bideford area & have recently been awarded the Appledore fellowship, which is detailed on the Appledore arts festival website.The fellowship is awarded to an art degree student, either from North Devon school of art or Somerset college of art and technology. The chosen student is given the opportunity to develop artworks with the local community which will be exhibited in the 2010 Appledore arts festival which runs from Thursday June 3rd till Sun June 6th.The theme of the festival for this year is "coastline"

At present i am looking for people to email me with their memories or stories about our local coastline which could be included in a community art project .I also need people to contact me who would be willing to let me record their memories via voice recordings.Any memories and stories would be of great use- for example they can be about your childhood ,family memories,beach found items ,fab days spent on the beach,huge surf ,wildlife sightings ,local history etc etc- absolutely anything as long as it relates to the coastline.

At a later date i hope to organise some free printing workshops ,in Appledore ,for adults and children to produce mono prints which will be shown during the festival -i will post the dates on the site when i have them.
