Facebook Protest Against Bideford Road Speed Plans

Another new group for Bideford has popped up on Facebook.
This time it is a protest at a suggestion that all roads in Bideford, which are not main vehicle traffic routes, should be subject to a 20mph speed limit.
A local councillor is quoted as making the proposal in North Devon Gazette recently. It is also stated on the group that Bideford's mayor talked about the speed restrictions on Heart FM radio this week.
The group called Petition Against Bideford Being a 20mph Town was created on 8 March 2010.
There are currently 27 members so maybe not everyone is against this idea?
