Cooking Advice Please, Bideford People

I've recently got into getting up early and making muffins for the children's breakfast (crazy I know, especially when I'd rather be tucked up in bed!)

The thing is, I'm sort of improvising and using a fairy cake recipe and putting various bits and bobs in. The "muffins" don't seem to be quite right ... does anyone have a tried and tested recipe they can share?

A choc chip or banana one would be best.
