Circle dance with Balamouk
Circle Dance with Balamouk at the
Plough Arts Centre
in Great Torrington.
Sunday
28 February 3pm – 5pm
A
tea dance with a difference - circle dancing to traditional Balkan
music played by local band Balamouk
(formerly Pendragon).
Balamouk
play guitars, fiddle,
accordion, bass, whistles and drums and sing haunting songs from the
Balkans and beyond in glorious harmony. All dances are taught so no
experience is necessary. Dancing in a circle means you don’t need a
partner either.
The
event, organised in conjunction with Torrington Fairtrade Group, is
part of Torrington’s Fairtrade Fortnight and includes a Fairtrade
tea and cake break and a chance to make your own pledge as part of
the 2010 Fairtrade Fortnight Big Swap!
Come
and join the dancing or sit back, drink fair-trade tea, eat cake and
enjoy the music.
Tickets:
£6 (£5 Plough Supporters) to include tea and cake
