Is Bideford Becoming a Gangland Territory?

I have been hearing talk around Bideford of a 'gang' of youths called something like the Hoods.

Quite often I approach a gang of kids gathering on the pavements with some trepidation only to be pleasantly surprised as they move out of my way with a "sorry" and a smile.

However it only takes one or two bad apples to rot the whole bunch.  When kids see their 'leaders' using aggression and feeling powerful it doesn't take much for a gang to turn into a force to be feared by the public.

Some people are saying that maybe it was a part of this gang who were responsible for the brutal attack on Steven Cloak.

Unlike the American gang wars we hear of this gang don't seem to have any enemy other than the general public and the law.

Bideford, the Little White Town, is known to tourists as a quaint little market town.  Let's hope that something can be done to stop this gang getting out of hand.

It is not always the parents fault!

The kids are the product of lazy selfish parents who take no repsonsibility for their offspring.
Half of the people in Bideford should be sterilized now as no good can come of them reproducing.
Take a look at the statistics for Bideford college,  nearly 33% have special needs, be it behavioural  problems,  learning difficulties or some other 21st century excuse.  Could this be a throwback from years of interbreeding?

Parents should be made to face the consequences of their childrens' actions and face tough penalties if the child is not of an age where they can face the consequences themselves.  However these children should be identified to society and made to feel shame, an emotion which very few youngsters have experienced now- a -days.

I wonder which political candidate for the election will have something to say about this?

What are they proposing to do about anti-social behaviour in Bideford?

Bideford is a two-faced town, the pretty market town daytime face and the binge-drinking, fight-ridden nighttime face.

    This 'gang' adds another aspect.

If people are to be terrorised by a gang of kids what is the town to become?

I haven't witnessed any scenes with these kids but I've seen graffiti around the town.  You can assume it's just them making a statement but when people get hurt (if it was something to do with the thugs who attacked Steven Cloak) the police, schools and parents need to do something drastic ... quick!

I hope that Steven recovers soon and wish all the campaign supporters success with the march.  I also hope that this does not add fuel to the fire of this so-called 'gang'.
