A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car as he walked along the A39 Atlantic Highway near the Holmacott Layby, Barnstaple early this morning, 13 June 2010.
The man was taken to North Devon Hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 5am.
The roads around where the incident happened have been closed for Police to carry out their investigations.
