GoldCoast Oceanfest Supporting Children's Hospice South West

North Devon's own Surf and Music Festival GoldCoast Oceanfest has announced that Children’s Hospice South West will be its lead nominated charity for 2011.

Alongside GoldCoast’s regularly supported charities including the National Trust, RNLI, ShelterBox, North Devon’s Biosphere, Seize the Moment and Croyde Lifesaving club, the event is expanding its commitment to raise the profile of and funds for worthy causes.

GoldCoast's Children’s Hospice South West campaign involves generating funds from every ticket sold plus the annual offering of free tickets and hospitality for families who are staying at Little Bridge House for respite over the mid-summer weekend.  A fundraiser and awareness campaign will be hosted at GoldCoast Oceanfest which will be supported by the North Devon Gazette, Heart FM and Stagecoach Devon. 

 GoldCoast have also created a unique weekend experience that money cannot buy. This brilliant VIP package will be auctioned as part of the Children’s Hospice UK 'Have a Heart Appeal Week' on the Heart FM breakfast show which is supporting Little Bridge House, and is launched nationwide on Monday 28 February.

 The auction prize up for grabs will include:

•  a GoldCoast 3 day family ticket, 
• free official event tee shirts and merchandise, 
• access to VIP areas and viewing behind the scenes
• Accommodation at Parkdean's Ruda holiday park for the 17th and 18th of June

• Darren Burrett and his Surf South West team, the UK’s first ever level 4 surf school, are offering the family a half day surf lesson for all abilities, equipment included.
