MEPHADRONE- SO-CALLED "LEGAL HIGH"

Dear Readers, 

This article is to heighten the public's awareness of the so-called "legal-highs" that are currently being widely used in Bideford  and many other locations throughout Britain. At the moment, the substance of choice is  the "legal-high" MEPHADRONE  - also commonly known as MAD COW, MEOW MEOW, SHAKE N VAC, BATH SALTS, MEPH . 

I have made myself become aware of this HIGHLY DANGEROUS substance by watching documentaries and reading many articles produced by legitimate organisations all concerned with the dangers of MEPHADRONE.

I shall refer to MEPHADRONE as M in my articles, purely to save space!

Did you know that M is produced from many different man-made chemicals? One of these being a derivative of plant-food, another a derivative of nail-varnish remover. Would anyone in their right mind after knowing this go into a shop, buy some Baby Bio or nail polish remover and willingly drink it to get a buzz? 

This substance has killed and seriously mentally damaged more people than ANY OTHER substance up to date. 

Leading Professors at Universities all over Britain have conducted many tests and trials on M and the general opinion of these highly respected and knowledgeable people is that it is safer to go onto the streets and buy the "real deal". ie, its safer to go and buy street cocaine, heroin, amphetamine, pills etc which are cut with many dubious items ie rat poison, pepper, bathroom cleaner, veterinary drugs etc etc etc.

Due to the varied chemicals that are used to produce this substance the health implications are vast and varied, therefore making it very difficult for the medical profession to treat people who have suffered adverse effects after taking it. Some of these horrific effects include terrifying hallucinations, heart palpitations, extremely fast heart and pulse rate, blinding headaches lasting several days, insomnia, severe loss of appetite, liver, kidney and lung disorders, it is possible that users can lose control of their bladder and bowel system resulting in wetting themselves and worse, often whilst out supposedly enjoying themselves (imagine how degrading that must be).

One of the worst side effects is the mental damage it can do, sufferers have experienced "trips" that last for days on end resulting in the user believing that these "trips" are their life as it is, severe depression, terrifying flash-backs, disorders likened to schizophrenia and psychosis resulting in some users taking their own lives.

Some people suffer none of the above and must be thinking "What the hell is this article all about, its never made me feel like that".......... they are the lucky ones but there will be many out there who can relate to all of the above.

If you are a user of this awful substance please, please, for your own health's sake, think twice before  doing M ........... You could possibly never recover from what you think is an ok thing to do because you think its legal...... IT ISN'T SAFE AND IT ISN'T LEGAL.
