Instow reject local primary school

Has anybody else noticed that Instow primary school is no longer within the boundary markers for Instow? Not only that, but Instow Old Town is now also outside the new boundary marker for Instow!
Somebody in their wisdom has decided to mark the entrances to Instow with wooden gates, one by the lane leading up to Huish and the other on the piece of grass opposite the marine base - The original marker for Instow is by Mays field and at the other end just as you come into the village.
Actually it's given me a great idea - I think I will move my garden fence so that I have some of my next door neighbours garden and I can move the other fence so that I own the pavement, perhaps I could charge a toll for people using it!

LOL! Instow people what a bunch of twits! First they block Duck tours from using the beach for no good reason, then they keep moaning about people walking dogs on 'their' beach, I reckon it's about time their council had a kick in the seat of their pants! They're snobby, and make stupid and poor decisions. Let's get real Instow has a nice beach and some nice views. The housing is distinctly average and massively overpriced, Instow is nothing special, you've don't own the town or the beach. Everyone has a right to visit the beach, drive through there acting within the rules of the land.
Oh and when are you going to do something about that eyesore of a closed retirement home on the sea front?

ReportI have just read the minutes for the Instow Parish Council meeting in May. They state that it has been agreed that white gates with a sign welcoming people to Instow and a picture of a boat and some evergreen plants were to be erected at the entrances to Instow to indicate to motorists that they are entering a community and that they should slow down. So as you say Will, the school is no longer part of the community and I also notice that a lot of the parish councillors are now living outside of the community boundary!

ReportThey did this to Bideford as well. Can't remember when they did it, but they moved the Bideford sign from the top of the hill just past the West Cornwall farmers place to the entrance to the new housing estate - making Bideford a bit bigger.
I agree with you Howard, I could do with some more garden so I think I may move my fences!

ReportThe limbo land is just the bit that those snobby people in Instow don't want coz it don't look pretty and is full of noisey children! The signs are very posh, which I suppose is only fitting.

ReportSounds like Barnstaple just got a bit bigger and Bideford shrank!
