Graffiti Wall being built

I was walking with a friend through the back of Victoria park last week.  We went past the skateboard park and I noticed two walls had been built next to the river - my friend put me in the picture, if you will excuse the pun, they are going to be graffiti walls for the kids.

Is this a good idea?

I think a graffiti wall would be a great idea, you can paint over it or paper over it like the local district council hadn't the intelligence to remove graffiti in the first place ( of which they haven't).

I think it is a wonderful idea. Graffiti (in the right place) is an artform.

I remembered this post last night when I was watching Dragon's Den. Some inventors had devised a virtual spray can for producing artwork on a giant computer screen. Most of the Dragons immediately questioned whether it was advisable to encourage children to create art with a spray can. What? Do they really think that anyone introduced to the workings of spray paint (virtual or otherwise) is going to turn into a vandal?!

So, yes, of course it is a good idea to have a graffiti wall. It is a place where people can show off their art form and a place for others to come and appreciate it.
