Ready for the Party New Years Eve Bideford Quay
Probably the best New Year's Eve celebrations in the country! Yes, right here in Bideford.
Our opinion of course, but the thousands of people (residents and visitors) who take to Bideford's streets for New Year's Eve will certainly agree.
The usual fancy dress street party will be kicking off on the Quay and
there are plenty of places to get in the New Year's mood beforehand too.
Firstly, if you live a drive away, make plans now for your ride home (we don't recommend sleeping face down in the gutter in this weather). We have some good, reliable taxi services listed in the business directory here on bidefordpeople.co.uk.
Here are a few who have good reviews and ratings in our directory Rob's Taxi, Tarker Taxis, All Area Taxis, Kirkham Cars.
So for all you party people out there Alliance are running an exclusive New Year's Eve party at Caesar's VIP room in Bideford. On the decks will be the Bidiots, Connerz, Mr Nice, Scat and the winner of their guest DJ competition.
For something a little more sedate try the special New Year's Eve menu at the Royal Hotel in Bideford East-the-Water. A fancy dining experience for £55 per head.
For something a bit different and in the spirit of Bideford's New Year's Eve fancy dress tradition why not join in with Lathwell's Vera Lynn themed evening. For just £35 per head you can go back in time to 1943. It’s strictly
fancy dress, so don’t expect to be allowed into their air raid shelter if
you’re not kitted out as Monty, Captain Mainwaring, Private Pike, Vera
Lynn, a US fighter pilot or a buxom land girl.
From 7.30pm to
2.00am you can use the restaurant as a base to enjoy the celebrations. Lathwell's will issue
you with a ration card that allows you to come and go from the
restaurant as you please.
For a pre-NYE meal in style in Appledore, Benson's are offering a delicious festive five course meal for £37.50, with 'carriages at 11' so you can be where you need to for the clock striking midnight.
Of course all the pubs will be rammed full but that's all part of the fun isn't it? So get your fancy dress on, get out on the streets and wish your neighbours a Happy New Year in Bideford for 2011!
DON'T FORGET TO POST YOUR NEW YEAR'S EVE BIDEFORD PHOTOS HERE IN THE BIDEFORDPEOPLE PHOTO GALLERIES TOO ...
