British Kite Surfing Association National Finals

The British Kite Surfing Championship is coming to Westward Ho!

Date 15-20th October 2012

The event is the championships finals for the sport when the men's and women's UK champions will be crowned. The event will bring the UK's top professionals to the beach at Westward Ho! over 6 days to compete to win the UK Title.

Over 150 top professionals will be competing

Schools and Community skills workshops
We are extending an invitation to all the local schools and community youth groups to attend free workshops to learn about the sport and have a go at kite flying and meeting the professionals.

We are offering the following programme:
1) Listen to a 15 minute talk from a professional talking about the sport and the lifestyle
2) Watch the action live from the beach as the Top Professionals will be competing
3) "Have a go kite flying" sessions will be provided by our Professionals
4) Learn to Kite buggy book one of our Kite Buggy sessions (image below)

We will have qualified instructors onsite to deliver kite flying lessons on the beach (no getting wet). Kite flying lessons will be available to all age groups over 12 years, those primary schools wishing to attended can watch demonstrations instead of flying kites.
