Well on the old subject that Bideford is dying... This actually happened... I am a keen model areoplane enthusiast and I needed fuel urgent, I was down to my last drop. I thought to myself where in Bideford can I get some... Ah I know the model shop up the high street, OK I new it had moved a few weeks earlier round the corner up higher.
Here comes the rub, I am disabled, not in a wheelchair but cannot walk that far and have big heart probs. I walked up to that shop, out of breath and it was shut...why .? no notice.. I done this trip 2 more times but not open, so I thought why bother. That day I went "on line", found what I wanted and it was delivered the next day... and at a price them in Bideford could not match.......Why do we need shops that dont want to sell and Councils who want to charge us to park at shops where they could not give a shti..?????

In reply to the old subject that Bideford is dying. The model shop in Grenville Street was run by a delightful couple and I know that they had to close due to serious ill health - it could happen to anyone ...
