Three fire engines from Torrington and Bideford were mobilised to a report of a flat fire persons reported. Fire survival guidance was given to the occupants of the second floor flat by Devon Fire Control until arrival of the fire crews.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed a flat fire and requested an additional fire engine so a fourth fire engine from Appledore with an Incident Command Vehicle with support pump from Ilfracombe were mobilised.

Two persons have been rescued from the second floor by the fire service using 135 ladder. 2 hose reels and 6 breathing apparatus are also in use.

Building 3 floors 7m x 7m,. Fire in bedroom 1st floor flat, bedroom severely damaged by fire. 2 persons, one adult male, one adult female rescued by fire service from 2nd floor flat using 135 ladder, received medical assistance from the ambulance crew, but did not attend hospital. The persons from the 1st floor flat were found safe elsewhere.

6 BA sets, two hose reels, thermal imaging camera and positive pressure fan used. Cause of fire being investigated.
