Well Ivornigbob - if people are shopping out of fown as you say then surely the town is responding to the out of town shopping? There are still plenty of shops for people to buy whatever they need in Bideford. I think it is a sign of the times that some residents would rather hop in their cars than walk a few feet to proper shops. However, with the price of petrol increasing by the day maybe they will think twice now.

well ivornigbob you say the council is sleepy and most of them 2nd homers can you be more specific on the 2nd homers and who they are?
as for out of town shopping I agree with grannygreen Mr&Mrs public don't care about the town and do prefer to use expensive fuel to go and shop else where and this in an area with the lowest income in Devon!!!!!
Hi Elfin58, funny name, do you rearly not know what 2nd homers are..sad. I live in a part of Bideford that is very bissy during the summer, but dead in the winter because all my neighbours move back to their roots. They have houses down here just as a status symble where they live is, shti. They are Sado's
