The World Health Organisation recommends that you do at least 30 minutes of (moderate intensity) physical activity at least 5 times a week...5x30!
The 5x30 Devonwide Project has Community Activators in place across Devon to help individuals and communities to access physical activity opportunities and provide support and information on all aspects of setting up a physical activity club, class or group, whether this be locating an instructor or finding suitable funding or any other advice/support which is needed...........how can we help?

As I get older I am concerned about my health more and feel the need to keep fit.  I have school age children and wondered if there what I could do in the daytime, maybe a club or something, in the daytime?

Met my husband in my late 30s and want to have a long life together! My husband recently had a scare and we found out he has a leaky heart valve - so we figured it's time to cut down on the Cream Teas and to reduce the risks of either of us getting ill.
I saw my Osteopath yesterday and he said that if everyone did the following, we'd all feel a lot better: choose oats rather than wheat, max 2 units alcohol per day, a daily walk of 30 mins, cod liver oil, regular dose of natural light each day, eat lots of oily fish. Thought we'd give it a go... he reckons these simple changes cover so many parts of the body that you'd soon feel healthier all over.
