This is old news - but we know that as an estuary and not open sea there are always issues with Instow as a swimming beach.

My family and I swim there regularly and the beach is great for children, much quieter than Westward Ho! in the summer. The only problem I have is that the sea is just SO FAR AWAY!

When it's a really high tide though, there's nothing quite like swimming from a sandy beach backed by dunes - we really are very lucky - so let the grockles believe it's dirty and they can go to Woolacombe or Westward Ho!
