Westward Ho! in the news today - still needs match funding for revamping the town - BBC radio Devon

I was in Westward Ho! yesterday, it's such a shame that they started all that building work on the green then stopped and fenced it off. It's an eyesore!
Why can't the planners get to some agreement over the proposed new build and get it sorted. It has been like that now all over the summer and surely can not have left a good impression with the tourists.
On a slightly different matter but still affecting vistors, why was a council traffic warden or whatever they call them) ticketing cars at 1445,in Westward ho! in a half empty car park? It was the only break in a poor weekend and surely could not have justified his wages working on a Sunday. I don't expect the poor visitor who had only parked in a coach bay( no sign of coachloads of visitors) would be returning!
