*WARNING* Scenes of an upsetting nature - Whilst on a run along Hobby Drive (on the South-West Coast Path near Clovelly) I felt a sharp bite on the bottom of my leg, underneath my sock. I stopped to check and what seemed like a stinging nettle rash had quickly appeared. That was last Friday and it has been murder all week. I thought it had gone septic, the way it had blown-up (twice the size of my other ankle), but having gone to the doctor it was confirmed as an allergic reaction - BUT TO WHAT? If anyone has had a similar experience let me know. I have been bitten by horse flies and mozzies before and never had this reaction. The Dr did mention it might have been a spider????!!?!?!
A friend from Clovelly had a similar experience a week or so ago, she thinks it was a spide as she had 2 neat puncture wounds. It swelled up and then her skin all around flaked off, only just starting to heal now. The Doctor thought it as a bite
