Hi Dave
I recently bought (far too many) primroses and primulas which were a fantastic bargain (which is why I bought so many).
Are they going to be safe in the frosty weather? I don't think I could cover them all up there are so many.

if not planted out they will need some protection from the cold as the pots will not protect the roots. planted out they are hardy enough to stand the average winter,
a cold frame would be an advantage if you have no greenhouse.hope this helps

Dear Dave
I have lots of primroses and primulas too which I planted in November. Some of them are actually embedded in ice after the cold snap. Do you think they will survive? They are in quite large and deep troughs.
