I really enjoyed James May's Toy Stories on Christmas day. I was hoping to see some people I know, but just saw loads of people I didn't recognise!
I thought the old archive footage of the old Barnstaple Bideford railway was really interesting. I can remember the iron bridge which took the trains across the water beside the Shapland and Petter factory.
To be honest, I think James May made quite a successful programme out of a not so successful day.
When I was on the Tarka trail that day, all I was hearing about was how youngsters had been vandalising the track with 2p pieces, how the rain was shorting out the electrics and about the lack of communication to the volunteers.
I had a great day though!!
