We recently had some family come down to stay for a week, and this - without a shadow of a doubt, was a great place to take them for a day out. The boat ride out, was not for land lovers. It was a bit choppy but this was all part of the experience when travelling to a beautiful island. Lundy Island is a fantastic place for walkers, but don't expect to walk the whole of the island in one day - if you do, you'll miss out on lots of the interesting places there. There is a camping site, and you can rent some of the cottages too. The village has a lovely, well stocked shop and the pub serves great food.

Step back in time with a peaceful holiday on the serene an unspoilt Lundy Island
Set just off the cost of Devon where the Atlantic Ocean meet the Bristol Channel, Lundy Island is a land that time forgot. Step off the ferry into unspoilt paradise and leave your hustle, bustle and stresses behind.
After guiding you to your accommodation (which can take the form of a Barn, castle or lighthouse), you’re free to begin your adventure into a different era.
Spend your days climbing, walking or painting, with nothing but the chirping of birds and the great outdoors for company. There are no TVs, radios or phones (with the exception of one payphone in the Tavern) and electricity rarely runs past midnight.
Fall in love with nature, whether on a wildlife walk, snorkelling or diving and spend the evenings under the stars. Which, with the absence of street lighting, shine brighter than you could ever imagine.
The seclusion and simplicity of Lundy Island has visitors returning time and time again to perhaps the most serene holiday Devon has to offer.
