Woman's body found on Westward Ho! beach

A woman's body has been found on Westard Ho! beach. A dog walker came across the body, near Golf Link's Road, at 9.20am on Saturday morning (Jan 12).Police were called and the body was initially taken to the lifeboat station.
Formal identification has not yet taken place though it is thought to be that of a 31 year-old woman who had been living in the area, although is not local to North Devon. Her next of kin have been informed.There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.
Police are continuing to make enquiries on behalf of the coroner. If anyone has any information that can assist police call 101 and quote CD/13/69.
