Seeing sense on turbines

IT is good to be able to report that a prospective wind turbine developer has had the decency to consider the likely effect on his neighbours and has actually withdrawn his planning application rather than risk blighting their lives for the sake of the minimal supposed benefit.

Rather more prosaically, in his own words "I cannot see the point of spending thousands of pounds on something which might have to be turned off half the time because of upsetting neighbours, due to noise level".

Would that others might show such good sense !
