Pop legend to appear at new Bideford venue

Pop legend Paul Jones will perform at Bideford's newest entertainment venue,the Devon Hall, on Friday September 28.

The Manfred Mann singer, who had a string of ten top ten hits in the 1960s, including '5-4-3-2-1' and 'Doo Wah Diddy Diddy',now has his own successful blues band. He will be joined by Digby Fairweather's Half Dozen, voted Britain's top small group at the British Jazz Awards, for a night of 'Rockin' in Rhythm'
The evening promises a mix of classic hits and new arrangements of great jazz and blues numbers, made famous by jazz musicians including Duke Ellingtion and Count Basie.
The Devon Hall is the new auditorium at Bideford College.
To start the evening pre-show dining is available on site in the Stucley Restaurant with a selection of homemade meals at very reasonable prices. (Advance table bookings on 01237 429565).
