The first line of the spooky Georgia Guidestones is one of the influences on a new sci fi film which pits underdog against global corporation in the face of a human depopulation programme.
Blight from Ray Smith of Bullet Movies follows a a discredited crop circle researcher who is forced into a medical trial as a human guinea pig. His employer, a pharmaceutical conglomerate, then 'usurps control over his life by faking his death'.
The film, says Ray, is a study of manufactured public consent, with the human depopulation thing going on. The first line of the Georgia Guidestones, a controversial 1979 structure sometimes called the American Stonehenge, is 'maintain humanity under 5000,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature'.
Take a gander at an early trailer and keep up with Blight, which is being shot in Bideford, as it grows on the Bullet Movies site, on Facebook or Twitter.
