As part of the scheme, a new link road to the old A30 at Blackhorse and junctions into the new Exeter Science Park development, are also being constructed.
The scheme is providing key infrastructure to access the Exeter and East Devon Growth Point, expanding private sector, knowledge-based jobs in the area. The Growth Point includes the Exeter Science Park and Skypark business development, which together are expected to create more than 10,000 jobs and generate around £450million in private sector investment. It also features the intermodal freight facility and the new community at Cranbrook.
Contractor South West Highways Ltd is carrying out the work on behalf of Devon County Council.
