Farmworker in helicopter rescue

A farmworker had to be rescued by helicopter yesterday after his tractor became trapped by fast-flowing flood water.
Police and a fire crews from Hartland, along with a special rescue team from Barnstaple were called to the Woolsery area, near Bideford, at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon. As they tried to track down the farmworker, a helicopter was also deployed from RAF Chivenor to help with the search and rescue.
The farmworker was found and rescued by the helicopter at 4.30pm.
