a baby? Why is this not a 'male subject'? He plans to give birth, live on stage, then raise it - in front of you. Come along!
Russell Kane is fresh from hosting BBC Three's brand new hit late-night comedy series, Live at the Electric (BBC Three) and co-presenting Britain Unzipped (BBC Three) with Radio 1 DJ Greg James. Live at the Electric features an ensemble of the best new acts on the comedy scene and will have a three night run as a live show at the Edinburgh Festival this year. As a live performer Russell has achieved what no other comedian has managed - winning both the Edinburgh
Comedy Award and the Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the two most prestigious prizes in comedy, in the same year for his stand- up show Smokescreens & Castles. Following a sell-out UK tour and the launch of his debut DVD of the same show in November 2011, Russell embarked on a new 59- date tour with the critically acclaimed sell- out show, Manscaping.
Russell has become a regular fixture on TV; co-hosting I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now! (ITV2), appearing in the Let's Dance for Comic Relief final following a bootylicious performance of Beyoncé's Crazy in Love as well as a host of other shows including: Live at the Apollo (BBC One); The Graham Norton Show (BBC One); Celebrity Mastermind (BBC Two); 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4); Mock the Week (BBC Two); It's Your Round (BBC Radio 4); A Good Read (BBC Radio 4); Ask Rhod Gilbert (BBC Two); and Comedy Rocks (ITV1). His debut novel; The Humorist was published this year to rave reviews.
