Bideford residents can just say no to Halloween trick or treat

Finding a vampire or a werewolf on your doorstep clutching an empty bag isn't everyone's idea of fun which is why Bideford residents can download a poster from the Devon and Cornwall police website telling Halloween trick or treaters not to call.
The poster 'Sorry…no trick or treat this Halloween' should be placed in a prominent position such as on the front door or in a ground floor window to deter any visits from goblins and ghouls tonight.
The campaign is run by Safer North Devon, backed by Devon and Cornwall police. Amanda Palmer, Community Safety Manager for Safer North Devon, says: "We work hard to respond to emerging anti-social behaviour through our daily tasking process and are seeing an ongoing reduction in anti-social behaviour across our area. However, we ultimately want communities to feel they can prevent issues arising in the first place, by getting involved in campaigns such as the police's Halloween campaign."
You can download the poster from www.devon-cornwall.police.uk/halloween.
