Bideford Chiefs are hoping for a repeat of last season's success against Devonport Services when they play host to the South Devon team this weekend.
In a preview of this weekend's games, Bideford RFC coach Kevin Booth said: "Last season, the chiefs did the double over Devonport but both games were very competitive especially the game at Devonport.
"You are always guaranteed a great game of rugby with Devonport and they have recruited well through the summer. Their pack is always a handful and they have strong running backs that can cause problems. They have had two close games and gaining a credible win against a strong Truro side.
"The chiefs played them in the closing game of the season and it was a real end to end game with Devonport taking the lead."
This weekend's line up will be without James Starkey and James Buckland. Andy Loosemore, Paul Thomas, Jono Mock, Jamie Giddy, Lee Weston and Chris Snell will all be available for selection after missing last week's game.
The match kicks off at 3.00pm on Saturday 15th.
Other fixtures include the Quins who are away at Cullompton this weekend and the Nomads who are at home to Okehampton. Kick-off is also at 3.00pm on Saturday 15th .
