Bideford Halloween Guide 2012

Time to dust off your witches hat and polish your devil's horns, Halloween is almost here, and there's plenty of spooktacular fun to be had in and around Bideford, so check out our guide to having a ghoulishly good time this Halloween.
For children
What: Halloween Festival
Where: The Big Sheep, near Bideford
When: Throughout half term
Prepared to have the wits scared out of you as the Big Sheep goes big on Halloween: promising fun by day and frights by night!
Enjoy the Pumpkin Carving Workshops, Free Face Painting, Haunted House, Ghost Train, and Witches Flying School during the day, throughout half term.
Alternatively, if you're brave enough, check out 'Scary by Night' and just to ratchet up the scare factor, actors in costume will be in place around the site, but especially on the Hayride and in the Haunted House. There is also the Lantern Parade & Fancy Dress and the Ewetopia Indoor playground
Tickets must be pre-booked for Scary by Night which takes place on Wed 31st October, Thursday 1st, Fri 2nd November from 6:30pm - 10pm. Call 01237 472366 for more info
What: Halloween Party
Where: Atlantis adventure Park, Atlantic Village, Bideford
When: Wednesday 6-8pm, Oct 31.
Take the haunted train ride, if you dare. Alternatively there are the soft play areas and a bouncy castle for those of a nervous disposition.
Pre-booked/pre-paid tickets only. Tickets are selling fast so 01237 478888 to book. Child entry cost £6.50. Adults are free.

What: Halloween Fancy Dress Party.
Where: The Crealock Arms, Littleham, nr Bideford
When: 9pm onwards, Friday, October 26th.
What: Halloween Ball Fancy Dress Ball
Where: The Blacksmiths Arms, East-the-Water
When: Sunday, November 4th, 7.00pm onwards
Northam Lodge is hosting this Halloween Ball which promises a DJ and Karaoke will take you through the night. A raffle and auction will also take place with a wonderful selection of prizes to be won or bid for. Prizes for the best costume.
